SIKA SIKASIL-GASKET Silicone Sealant, Red - 300ml

Sikasil-Gasket is a highly elastic silicone sealant suitable for use at temperatures up to +260°C.

Can be used:

• Wherever a resilient, vibration- and pressure-resistant gasket is needed.

Advantages:

• 1 component.
• Equalization.
• Great resistance to age.
• Can be used at high temperatures from +60°C to +260°C.
• Resistant to: oil, water, ethylene glycol. Briefly withstands: aliphatic hydrocarbons (eg gas.)

Preparation of adhesive surfaces:

• The surface of the gasket must be clean and dry.
• Dust and friable particles must be removed.

Usage:

• For ease of use, cartridges should be stored in a cool room before use.
• The tip of the nozzle is cut as needed and the sealant is forced out of the cartridge with a hand or air pressure gun.
• It applies only to one of the sides.
• If it is necessary to separate the two sides again, the other side is lubricated with a thin layer of oil.
• You must assemble both sides while the surface is still sticky (within 10 minutes).
• The screws around the surface are only slightly tightened and after 24 hours they are firmly fixed. The thickness of the sealant should be approx. 1 mm. Excess sealant can be removed with a knife after 10-12 hours.
