LED Gear indicator KTM ADVENTURE / DUKE / SUPER DUKE 790-1090 03-19
Product code: 193438
ATTENTION: If your model is in the description, BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONNECTOR YOU HAVE.
Indicator color: Red
Mounting:
1. The ignition must be switched off. Remove the seat and fuel tank.
2. Locate the speed sensor connector.
A. Many models have a speed sensor on the gearbox. In other models, it is located near the front or rear wheel.
B. Follow the wire until you find the speed sensor connector. The connector must have three contacts.
ADDITIONAL:
If you have found the correct speed sensor connector, after disconnecting it and driving, the speedometer should show 0. This means that you have found the correct connector.
FOR MODELS WITH ABS SYSTEM:
Some models with ABS do not have a speed sensor. The speed signal is generated in the ABS control computer. For these models, it is necessary to connect the sensor between the ABS computer and the ECU (engine control computer).
-Connect the green wire to the shaft sensor.
Setting parameters:
You will need to configure the settings after installing the indicator.
The setting takes place when the engine has reached operating temperature.
1. When "L" is lit in the indicator, engage the free gear and let it work.
2. With the "1" light on, engage first gear and release the clutch slightly while keeping the engine rpm lower than the engine's neutral rpm.
*Indicator starts flashing faster when learning.
3. When "2" is lit, engage the second gear and test the steps as before with other gears up to 5 or 6 (depends on how many gears you have in the gearbox.)
4. If you performed all the steps correctly, the track indicator should show the gears correctly.
5. After turning on the ignition, the indicator must count from 6 to 1. Therefore, the indicator is fully functional.
Additional information:
If some gear is set incorrectly, restart and reset all gears.
If you are changing the front or rear sprocket to a new one, you will probably need to readjust the gears.
In order to restart the parameters, you need to disconnect the power 6 times in a row when the indicator counts from 6 to 1 (it is best to disconnect when it shows 3 or 4).
You can also disconnect the power by turning the ignition on/off.
After 6 times turn on the indicator (must count from 6 to 1).
Once the indicator memory is reset, you can start resetting all gears.
