POLINI is an Italian manufacturer of tuning parts for motorcycles, mopeds and scooters. Among other products, they make cylinders and variators for both racing and road use. The company was founded when Italian soldier Battista Polini returned from service in World War II and began producing bicycles that were popular and sold well. The company's first logo was a ram, which was the emblem of Battista's battalion. When the first Vespa and Lambretta scooters appeared in the 1940s, their parts began to be produced.
