The Scottoiler journey began with Scottoiler inventor Fraser Scott. Frustrated by the wear and tear of chains and sprockets that required near-constant maintenance, he developed an automatic lubrication system activated by engine vacuum. After several years of development, the first Scottoiler finally went on sale in 1984.

40 years after it was first introduced to the market, the same vacuum chain oil is still being produced along with many other innovative chain oil solutions. This 40th year brings a special vSystem 40th Anniversary Edition to celebrate everything that has come before and brought the company to where it is today.
